From Past to Present"

YESTERDAY:



Mr Cutillas Pedro Aguilar, founder of Bar Avenue, was born on January 27th1940, difficult years, children had no choice but to learn a trade and It was not always possible to choose, as often you had to follow in the footsteps of your parents, and this is how he started in hosteleria at just an early age. He had a good teacher and so soon learned business quickly and this allowed him to go to work for others in no time. Some of the places that offered him work were the Huertanica Hotel Restaurant, the Yacht Club de la Ribera, .... he looked to improve his knowledge and was motivated to create his own business.

Thanks to his girlfriend, and some good friends, the project became a reality on June 26 of 1965, on the opening day of the "Bar Avenue". With ice coolers, a wooden bar, a terrace and launching his new bar awas a great success.

Pedro, had a clear objective to highlight an innovative recipe that get the attention. Thus, as borns his "Famous Fried Prawns", selecting only the very best prawns and frying them in a delicious batter. Two other exciting recipies were rock octopus grilled and baked and lamb brains.

In a few months the bar had many satisfied customers, do not forget that at that time in Espinardo there was great economic activity thanks to pepper businesses and was a national road with heavy traffic. Years pass, his family and his business grow simultaneously and he gets rewarded for all is hard work and manages to raise five children and they grow up in the family business.

All the children learn the trade but not all of them want to follow in his footsteps, only the small one Jesus wants to continue the tradition. Unfortunately, Pedro is no longer with us he died in the year 1997.

Mr Jesús Cutillas Cuenca, Avenue Bar successor, was born on April 30th1974. At only twenty years of age he had to take over the family business.

Although he made changes the bar retains its traditions and its loyal customers. You have to adapt to new recipies but without forgetting its flagship product, his famous "Fried Prawns".

New tapas like baked octopus or grilled squid from Galicia, Andalusian baby squid, creative salads have been introduced over the years anh have been a great success, .... Here you will always find quality, variety and the attention and service you deserve. Jesus is proud to have followed in the footsteps of his father and will always remember him.          

His father sacrificed many things and when created the bar which he did with so much effort, this effort is still alive and booming as his father would have liked.
Thanks Dad for all the values ​​and knowledge that you taught me. I love you and believe in our bar, Your Bar.
